QiGong

Dr. Zhou Hong discusses QiGong...

"What is QiGong? Flying clouds surround the 5,904-foot-high Mountain Huangshan (the Yellow Mountain). The peaks are like islands floating above the sea, with steep cliffs here and there. The air is moving among the peaks, up and down, driven by the winds. Wind is the Qi of nature. It moves the sea of clouds. When blocked by the peaks, the clouds are whirling like waves beating on the rocks.

"The clouds at Huangshan cover the peaks, nourishing the pine trees and wild herbs and other plants. When the sun rises, pine trees, herbs, and the other plants, produce a kind of natural clean Qi. This natural clean Qi is the treasure of the world. If you come to Huangshan to collect the Qi, your skin will become smoother and radiant with crimson. You can also live longer. If you come to practice QiGong here, you will be healed of illness or you will become healthier if you have no illness.

"Every person has the essential air of life, which comes in two categories: the Jing of Reproduction (inherent and inherited from parents) and the Jing of Nutrition (derived from foods and water acquired during life's processes). This essential air of life is the fundamental substance that forms the human body and maintains life's activities. If your Jing of Reproduction is deficient, your child could have poor health, or even low IQ; however, your deficiency can be tonified with the Jing of Nutrition. When tonified, your child can have better health and a higher IQ.

"So we can see the acquired Qi (the Jing of Nutrition) is very important. It is derived from foods, water, and the clean Qi from nature. It is processed in your lungs, spleen, stomach, and kidneys. You have to gather the clean Qi from nature by breathing and collecting, the process of which is already termed as QiGong practice. Qi is the source of life. Without Qi, life will end. Qi is vital to all human beings. Without the clean Qi of nature, the animals will not live. Without animals, the clean Qi of nature will perish. "Huangshan is very natural, with rich high-quality clean Qi. I invite you to Huangshan to collect the Qi. If you stay here long, you will develop your own QiGong. Actually, QiGong is a combination of Qi and Gongfu (here it means time and practice). QiGong is an important element of TCM, a treasure. It should be employed for better health for all human beings.

"As the Chinese saying goes, 'you can grind an iron rod to a tiny needle so long as you concentrate on it' (like the English proverb, 'where there is a will, there is a way'). I have been practicing Gongfu at least 300 days a year for 30-plus years. My Gongfu belongs to the category of the 'inside body QiGong' of the Shaolin School. It has three components: relaxation Gongfu, concentration Gongfu and healthcare Gongfu.

Zhou Hong works with Qi energyOnly when you have abundant Gongfu from inside of your body, can you project Qi to heal others. Together with other TCM practices like acupuncture, cupping, and herbs to help with the healing, I can usually achieve the desired results. QiGong can help adjust your mind, can help strengthen the primary Qi, tonifiy the essence air of life, balance yin and yang, harmonize the internal organs, open the meridians, activate your Qi movement, eliminate waste, stimulate your potentials, and develop your IQ. I hope to serve patient's hearts and souls."

A Former Patient Reflects on Receiving Qi . . .

"What is Qi transference? How does it affect the person receiving it, and how is it done? Dr. Zhou Hong uses Qi transference for three different reasons: to clear the blockages in the meridians, to aid in blood circulation, and to supply extra life energy to patients. When Zhou Hong transferred Qi into me, it felt like a strong electric-type current was being conducted through my body. I could feel the current follow each meridian all the way to the floor. I also felt some of the Qi as thicker columns of energy. Once when he touched me on my mid-thoracic area, I felt the charge go all the way into the back of my skull and brain and down my spine. This charge of energy felt as thick as or a little thicker than the diameter of my spinal column.

"I can only say this is a powerful physical experience. No one can question if anything happened. I have seen at least 25 people receive this treatment from Zhou Hong. Although each person has a different experience, all of them have said they have never felt anything like it. Most have experienced a shift in consciousness during the treatment and some for months after. Everyone is very glad that they received this healing treatment from Zhou Hong, and everyone has gotten some kind of healing. Zhou Hong has learned to harvest energy and transfer it to his patients. He usually knows beforehand which patients this treatment will help, and how much it will help them. Zhou Hong refuses to give Qi to patients who don't need it. He says it is not good to receive more Qi than you need, and also it takes a lot out of him to give his patients Qi. Although Zhou Hong knows how to collect Qi wherever he is, he often goes up to the Yellow Mountains, where the air is very pure, to replenish himself with Qi and build store for his patients."
